🛒 Significant Shoplifting Incident Results in Arrests in Bridgnorth

Thanks to the vigilance of an observant member of the public, officers were able to respond quickly to a large-scale shoplifting incident in Bridgnorth.

The witness reported seeing a male repeatedly entering and leaving a local supermarket before placing bags of shopping into a vehicle parked nearby. The male was also seen changing clothing between visits and using trolleys and shopping baskets in an apparent attempt to disguise his actions.

Following the report, Patrol and Safer neighbourhood officers attended the area and located two women connected to the incident. CCTV enquiries helped officers obtain a detailed description of the outstanding male suspect. In total, approximately £1,100 worth of goods, including alcohol, fresh meat and other groceries, had been stolen and was found within the boot of the car.

The two women were arrested, and a thorough search of the High Town and Low Town areas was conducted. Whilst the male suspect was not located, enquiries remain ongoing.
